The rebranding was recorded on October 10 as part of a larger wave of ownership and operational updates across the state's cannabis system.
Today's roster updates reflect significant activity across Maryland's market: alongside the Chesapeake rebranding, at least five other licensees underwent name changes—including Evermore Cannabis Company (now The Living Room), Columbia Care MD (now Cannabist), and Jenny's of Maryland I (now Jenny's in Collaboration with Nirvana). Four new testing labs and one new retail license were also approved.
Maryland's adult-use market now counts 128 open retail locations, 27 cultivators, and 31 manufacturers, with September sales reaching roughly $101.5 million. The cluster of rebrands suggests active portfolio consolidation or partnership realignment. Watch whether RISE Bethesda's new branding signals expansion or operational restructuring under new ownership.
